Aluminium degassing systems
Degassing tubes made of graphite, is commonly used in the aluminium industry for separating impurities from metals in molten states.
Being chemically inert, graphite will not contaminate the metals. The uniform homogenous structure withstands high temperatures and severe thermal shock without cracking, spalling or causing chips to fall into the melt. Graphite will not melt or fuse at any temperature.
Additional anti-oxidant treated graphite material is available to slow down the oxidisation of graphite disperser shafts and degassing tubes.
